WIFT-T Industry Study

A few days ago you may have received a notice regarding that Women in Film & Television – Toronto (WIFT-T) is undertaking a study on employment trends in Canada’s screen-based industries— film & television production, film & television distribution, broadcasting and digital media. The enclosed survey and your responses are a vital component to the success of the study and we encourage you to take the time to participate and complete the survey.

The study will provide a crucial economic perspective on a key Canadian industry.

We at DOC are enthusiastic about the new study, the results of which will help us understand industry employment trends and assist us in creating programs and policies that will be beneficial to our members. We ask and encourage you to participate in this survey for the enrichment of our sector as a whole.

Reminder: Your answers will be sent directly to Nordicity/Environics Research; the firms that WIFT-T is working with on this project. Your participation and answers will not come to DOC, and will remain anonymous in all respects and will be combined with the answers of others

The survey should not take longer than a few minutes to complete and you do not need to prepare in advance.
Your opinions and experiences are important to us, to WIFT-T and to the Canadian screen-based industries. I hope you will take the time to participate.

Highlights of the final report of the survey will be presented at the International Women in Digital Media Summit in October and will be available online through WIFT-T at www.wift.com shortly thereafter.

If you have any questions on this survey or the study, please do not hesitate to contact Julie Whelan at jwhelan@nordicity.com.
Thank you for your support and time in completing the survey.

Sincerely,
The Documentary Organization of Canada
