Winnipeg, MB – With training through the NSI Global Marketing program, four Canadian producers are ready to pitch their projects to international buyers, co-producers and distributors at MIPTV. Created by the National Screen Institute – Canada (NSI), NSI Global Marketing is an intensive training program that teaches established Canadian producers the essential skills of selling, pitching, promoting their market-ready projects and networking with international partners. The producers will put these skills to use at MIPTV, an international television market in Cannes, France, April 4 – 7. The program includes at-market mentoring and support, and post-market follow-up.
The 2011 NSI Global Marketing participants are:
- Jean duToit, Buffalo Gal Pictures, Winnipeg, MB
- Sheona McDonald, Dimestore Productions Inc., Vancouver, BC
- Leslea Mair, Zoot Pictures, Regina, SK
- Vanessa Loewen, Animiki See Digital Productions Inc., Winnipeg, MB
“NSI Global Marketing is a necessary training ground for success at international markets,” said Mickey Rogers, NSI Global Marketing program manager. “The participants had a week’s immersion with Canadian leaders who have their pulse on the trends in the world right now. With this preparation, the group is able to make meetings with international partners and be clear about the needs for their projects.”
Rogers is also blogging for producers preparing for MIP.
